About the artist: Anya loves hermit crabs. She is 8 years old, lives in Tucson Arizona and is the oldest of 4 children. She got her first hermit crabs when she was 3 years old and now has 60 crabs. She loves science and art. When she grows up she wants to be a hermit crab doctor or a Houston Animal Cop.

For us it was love at first sight. Anya graciously gave us one of her 'Hand'made Hermit Crabs as a thank you gift. When we first unwraped it, we were taken by how cute and clever her design is. Her crab now holds a place of prominence in our store.
These unique ceramic hermit crabs are created and glazed by Anya. Then with the help of her mother they are kiln fired. The crab measures approximately 10"W x 11"H and has 2 eyelets embedded in the back for easy hanging.
