With Small and Tiny crabs the rule is "the more the merrier". Smaller crabs tend to spend a lot of time underground sleeping and also molt very frequently. If you only have a couple of crabs in your crabitat you may have times that there is very little activity. The generally accepted rule is 1 gallon of space per tiny crab and 2 gallons of space per small crab.
Crabs in this size category need at least 4 - 5 inches of moist sand in their tank. Currently we are recommending that people purchasing crabs of this size use a 10 gallon tank. We feel that this is a good minimum tank size that allows for future growth.
